PRODUCT RESEARCH

The strip is part of the measurement system.

Independent guide · Updated 18 October 2026

A compatible strip is an essential part of the meter system. A similar box design, brand name or sample volume is not enough to substitute one consumable for another.

A practical compatibility map

Meter or familyWhat to match
Ino, Ino X, Ino SoundIno strips are listed on their respective corporate pages.
Fad, Fad SmartFad strips are listed.
Eco / Ease / NeoEach page names its own Eco, Ease or Neo strip platform.
X / 6IN1Use the exact analyte strip and model instructions; a multi-test name is not a universal-strip claim.
Glucose/β-ketone DualVerify the dedicated dual-result strip in the system instructions.
Lactate / VivaDiag Lipid / VivaDiag Plus HBDedicated lactate strips, lipid test devices or Plus Hb strips; these are distinct workflows.

Storage and expiry: keep two dates

Record the printed expiry and the opening date if an in-use period applies. The applicable limit depends on the precise strip, packaging and instructions. Do not apply a generic shelf-life claim from another VivaChek product page to every consumable.

Keep containers closed as instructed and use the permitted storage conditions. Ask the supplier how the shipment was stored and transported if the condition of a delivery is uncertain. A long remaining expiry does not establish that storage requirements were met.

Control solution and lancets

Control solution checks the meter/strip system according to its instructions; it is not a patient glucose sample. Match the correct solution and acceptance procedure. For lancets, verify the lancing-device compatibility, single-use instructions and disposal guidance rather than assuming all accessories fit.
