PRODUCT RESEARCH

HbA1c and CGM answer different questions.

Independent guide · Updated 18 October 2026

VivaDiag’s Glycosylated Hemoglobin Test Kit is a professional fluorescence immunoassay (FIA) for HbA1c. The corporate page identifies a test kit; that alone does not establish a standalone HbA1c meter or compatibility with every VivaDiag analyzer.

HbA1c, hemoglobin and CGM are not interchangeable

HbA1c describes glycated hemoglobin. A hemoglobin concentration test, such as the separate VivaDiag Plus HB system, reports a different measurement. Neither name should be shortened into the other when selecting a kit.

CGM builds a sequence of glucose estimates and can describe daily patterns and time within defined ranges. HbA1c and CGM metrics are considered together in diabetes assessment, but a CGM report is not a laboratory HbA1c assay. See the ADA 2026 technology guidance for the clinical context; an individual interpretation belongs with a healthcare professional.

Confirm the analyzer and assay as a pair

  • Request the current kit instructions and a compatibility statement naming the analyzer and software version.
  • Check intended users, specimen handling, calibration and quality-control procedures.
  • Keep the five-minute claim tied to this kit’s stated workflow; it is not a guarantee for a complete patient visit.
  • Verify local marketing status, storage, lot and expiry before ordering.
